Linkin Park released a mobile game, made by their own band ideas - winner of two Grammys, Linkin Park band announced a mobile game called Linkin Park 8 – Bit Rebellion. The game will be available for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
Game’s production started about a year ago, when Linkin Park signed a partnership with Artificial Life Inc. to create an application to please their fans but also to please the gamers. The game will be available on multiplayer mode. The band was directly involved in the most important aspects of the game: story, game play, music and design.
“It was a unique experience for us.” Said Eberhard Shoneburg, CEO for Artificial Life.
“We believe that we entered a new area of games, 8-Rebellion will get the band closer than ever, to our fans. I think that any Linkin Park fan should try this game.”
“Working with Artificial Life has been exceptional.” said Mike Shinoda, the vocalist of Linkin Park group.
In Linkin Park 8 –Bit Revolution, players must save the music of Linkin Park, from PixxelKorp’s hands. So, the players are going through various missions, each time being put in front of a new challenge.
It seems to be an interesting game but until we will play it, we make an idea from its trailer.

Apparently it does not happen to hear only about releases games but also about the withdrawal of some others that are at least strange and harmful. For example, a mobile game for iPhone, whose final goal was to see how much you can take when a child cries until you shake him and even kill him, was seized from AppStore dues to harsh criticism. The mobile game “Baby Shaker” was sold in Appstore at a price of 99 cents. The image of a child was black and white drafted on the phone’s screen, and the user had the possibility to stop the annoying cries with a strong shake of the phone.

“In the plane, bus, and cinema – children are everywhere, in places where you do not want them to be! They always distract your attention when you are preparing for a presentation for work, because they always cry. Before “Baby Shaker”, you could not do anything to stop them. See how much you can take their cries until you find a way to stop them” – says the game description on iTunes.
When the user shook the phone, the child ceased to cry and this way, on his eyes was supposed to appear small red symbols in the form of X. A group that was focused on the prevention of child abuse from New York requested that the game to be withdrawn from the market, based on the known fact that the shaking of a child it leaves permanent traces on their brain.
Sikalosoft Company, the one that produced this game, did not make any comments regarding to Baby Shaker game but it was deleted from their website.
