What does the Missouri Gaming Commission refers to? Its intention is to regulate charitable and commercial gaming and as well promoting it in such a manner that it will have a positive impact on the United States overall population and as well in a manner that will ensure the integrity and the reliability of this business.


When did it first came out on the market and how was it established? It was born in 1993 and the 87th General Assembly for regulating gambling boats, is the one that actually established it. What their scope is, to be certain that no gaming illegalities are done, no criminal elements take contact with the gaming activity, the gaming operations are conducted  under license and that the rules are respected.

The oldest game in Missouri ever played is Bingo, but I guess this is one of the oldest games in almost every state. It was introduced in 1865, together with the Missouri Constitution from 1865.

The most recent and the actual Missouri Gaming Commission, Commissioners are Jim Mathewson, Noel Shull, Daryl T Jones, Barrett Hatches and Jack Merritt. All of these are elected on a certain period of time and they are supposed to be the ones watching over the right evolution of Missouri Gaming business.

They are no elected according to their political view, as some of them are Republicans and some of them are Democrats, but they are selected according to their capacity and experience of tackling with the kind of issues that occur in a gaming industry. Even though the gaming industry one is a part of may not be so violent, one may never know what can actually happen. Jim Mathewson served for twenty – four years as a state senator. He is known to be an avid sportsman and very active and involved into the community problems. He is to serve the MGM Commission until 29th of April 2012.

The Republican, Noel Shull is a person that has a furrow experience in the financial services area, having served the Missouri Bankers Association as Chairman of Governmental Affairs Committee. He is to bremian on the MGM Commission until the date of 29th of April 2011.

Dr. Barrett Hatches serves as a Chairman of the Board for the full employment Council. He was elected to serve the MGC in the year 2010 and will serve it until the year 2013. They are all chose on a certain period of time, and before one will take over, they will prepare the enxt in line, before they live.

Their approved games and supplies are the RiverBoat Gaming and the Bingo one. The riverboat gaming refers to games played in casinos and that are under license of playing, accordingly to the MGC. Some of these games are Blackjack, Baccart, Big Six Wheel, Casino Surrender, Casino War, Double Deck Blackjack, Face Up BlackJack, Flop Pocker, Fortune Pai Gow, Jack Magic, Lucky Ladies, Mini-Craps, Monopoly Blackjack, Monopoly Poker, Red Dog – Acey – Deucy, Three Card Poker, Twenty Won and many others.

How does the Missouri split its tax revenues? It provides its taxes into two different sources, the gaming tax and the AGR. Therefore, it provides a 20% to AGR and from the rest they split it into 90% of the gaming tax, to the states and the rest of 10% o the home dock jurisdictions.

As big as the business of casinos and gambling may be in Missouri, some decrease were registered in the past two years. Reasons are various and they range from the incapacity of people to face the budget and to pass through the economy’s state, the possibility of going into a smaller town and selecting to play there and the money spent will be fewer and the prices will be the same, etc.
