Football Manager 2008

Football Manager is already enjoying a reputation similar to a new launched and very successful game. The game is trying more and more to anchor more powerful in the civilized society. If on the previous editions, you were provided with a little more than a manual and some own decision; the version from this year will allow you to have the whole football world in your hands.

This fact is accomplished through the introduction of the so called guider, a software which will appear in the lower left corner of the screen in order to guide you at each step inside the game. The configuration possibility is very big, and even if you know really well what you are doing, it is good to know that you can start from scratch with a new design and organization of the buttons, in order to be more accessible. There is even a tutorial inside the game, and a calendar in which there will be marked all the important days along the season.

With an overview, it can be said that there aren’t big differences between Football Manager 2008 and the most recent predecessor. There can be observed pretty important changes which certainly will be observed. Between these changes is the introduction of a new transfer center displayed on the screen which will offer the possibility to view the fans and team’s opinion about the most recent results of your team.

These elements don’t affect very much the game mode of each other because of the very high fluctuation of the trust screen, the shareholders exaggerating even in the case of minor defeats, despite the excellent form in which your team is. The calendar screen will show the situation one month at a time and it is very useful, helping you a lot at team organizing.

Club Football: Manchester United

Available while reading this article in 17 different versions, Club Football is a new appearance worthy of attention from the console football games, which proves to be a better business than the marketing stuff which seems to be at first sight.

The principles, no matter of the version of the team you choose, are the same. You are crossing the team you choose into a regular season, with a clear intention to fill some of the empty spaces from the trophies room. In this purpose, you can use the game generator in order to keep you placed in the middle of this team, and then go to action – which is great by the way. Sustained by a powerful game graphics, Club Football is offering a pleasant rendering of the great game, which transforms into a healthy challenge, on long terms. There is some ambiguity which tempers the things a little bit. The fluidity of the game is sometimes interrupted by an exaggerated insistence focused on the animation instead of a simple pass, for example, and there are some minor problems which easily can stop things.

Although, thinking about the competition, with Fifa 2004 and Pro Evolution Soccer 3, offering powerful performances, it is noticeable the fact that Club Football is good enough in order to be taken in consideration. This being so, it isn’t the greatest title from its area, but is a good and promising debut.
