What does on line gaming refers to in the first place? Online gaming means that a certain game is played through a computer network and one will most certainly have to use an internet connectivity and if not, one is capable of using as well a certain modem for the internet, hard wired terminals, that existed before the internet. As the online gaming extended so did the industry of computer devices and computer networks. The ones that play online gaming have created as well online communities. This type of playing computer gaming, needs that a computer device has Flash or Java installed. One should not confound the online gaming with the online gambling. In playing online games, one can both play single player games as well as multi players games.

What about the e-commerce? What does it have in common with the online gaming thing? The sole thing that those two have in common is the fact that it needs internet connectivity. While online gaming consists on playing games online, through internet connectivity or some network, by you or multi player games, the e-commerce consists in buying and selling on - line products or services. It is an easier possibility to use and a more comfortable one. This commerce has spreaded a lot with the spreading of the internet connectivity. One can use it in electronic money transfer, supply management, marketing on the internet, any other transaction processing, EDI – electronic data interchange, inventory systems, etc.

The e-commerce ha been on the market for over thirty years now and it has been suffering a lot of changes ever since. If at first it was at the “mercy” of telephone providers connectivity, nowadays it is accessible by everyone.

What is the role of the e-commerce in online gaming? Moreover, one can say that online gaming has a stunning effect on e-commerce. That, because, as the gaming industry has evolved so much and so fast, the e-commerce that has just began taking into its own roots, has been on the online gaming websites so that they could make better than they did. Therefore, the e-commerce in online gaming has direct impact on people and on the development of the e-commerce view.

More and more companies believe that e-commerce will improve their marketing systems, as it promotes the products and the services through a more direct information and interactivity with customers, even though a virtual one. It as well facilitates the possibility for customers all over the world to reach their needing product faster; when making such a marketing campaign the companies will save a lot of money, rather than using a big marketing campaign, that will eventually be limited by some boundaries.  This is the beautiful thing with e-commerce that it has no boundaries, whatsoever. In using the internet to create your own corporate image, one will be closer to its customers.

In maintaining your company using this system one will be able to have a better understanding of a market space and will as well make some changes in the entire view of the selling. One will create its own market place and the identity will be more sizable than in having any other commercial marketing campaign.

The e-commerce in online gaming has created a nonprofit organization – eGOGRA but this deals mainly with the gambling issue and protecting their operations and as well of making sure that they operate in fully lawful purposes. It as well acts like a mediator between the online gamblers and the eCOGRA approved online casinos.

As far as this concern the gaming industry it refers to is mainly the gambling one. However, e-commerce in online gaming, means more than just this.
