Build A Gaming Computer
Video gaming has always been a really fun activity, and some people are really crazy about it and they spend many hours a day for playing video games. From year to year the video games are getting more and more complex, with really advanced graphics and a complicated game play, so the requirements are also getting higher and higher. For example the video games many years ago occupied just a few MB, then they expanded to a few hundreds MB, but today they have thousands of MB (but of course no one says “thousands of MB”, they say GB). But besides the space they occupy, they also require a powerful processor, a big RAM memory and also a good graphics engine.
Today there are many good gaming computers on the market, but they are also really expensive. For example the best ones (those made by the company Alienware) can cost up to 2,000 dollars or even more. So in case you are a really big fan of video gaming, but you don’t wish to spend so much money for a powerful computer then you can build your own gaming computer. Of course we don’t mean to make it by yourself, but you can go to a computer’s store, and choose each component individually so that it can fit your necessities.

So for now we’ll give you some advices on what components to focus on if you wish to built a powerful gaming computer. And we’ll begin with the “heart” of any computer or laptop, which is the processor. The Intel Core 2 Duo used to be the best and most popular on the market, but today better processors had taken its place.
And these are the Intel Core i3, the Intel Core i5 and the best one – the Intel Core i7. Of course the Intel Core i7 is also the most expensive, but even the Intel Core i3 can be really good for video games. The next feature to consider would be the RAM memory. To enjoy the video games at their best capacity you will need at least 2 GB, but to be sure you don’t have any problems it is recommended to have at least 4 GB (and you can go as high as you want, some computers having space for many RAM memory cards).
As we mentioned earlier, the video games of our days occupy a few GB of disc space, so this mean you will definitely need a large hard drive in order to store as many as possible. For the true gamers that play all the new video games from the market, 160 GB of disc space won’t be enough, and they will need 320 GB or even more. But after all this depends on your preferences and on your budget. If you don’t have such a big budget you can just choose a smaller hard drive, and play just a few video games at a time, then delete them and install some new ones…and so on.

As you may know, the video games of our days have outstanding graphics and in order to enjoy them you will need two elements. The first one is of course the display screen. We recommend a good LCD screen with at least 20 inch in diagonal for enjoying each and every detail of the video game. But the display screen won’t show the best details without a good graphics card on your computer. So here you can buy a good NVIDIA or ATI card with at least 1 GB of dedicated video memory. And this way you can enjoy the great graphic of the video games made these days.
So these were the basic features needed for a good gaming computer. But this is not all, and of course there are some other things to consider. For example the sound. Besides a complex graphic the games also have complex sounds, with all sorts of effects, explosions, gun shots and so on. And to be able to enjoy them at their best quality, you need to have a surround sound system. In order to copy the games that you just bought of course you also need an optical drive, and it is good to have a Multiformat DVD ± RW / CD-RW drive with double layer support that can record up to 8.5 GB of data on a single DVD. And it would be even better to have one with Blu-ray support, so that you can also watch High Definition movies. But the first one we mentioned can be just good. In case you are a really passionate gamer, you will need some gaming accessories such as a gaming mouse, a gaming keyboard, a gaming chair, a steering wheel, a joystick and so on. But these are not crucial components, and you do just fine without them. This is something that each gamer decides, according to his passion for video gaming and according to his budget.
So here were some advices on what features to look for when making a powerful gaming computer. If we missed something please remind us of that. And also tell us more about what gaming computer you have, which are the features it has, and also which video games you played and you liked so far. Have a nice day!
