What this institution is trying to promote is responsible gaming, both at the company and at the industry gaming level. In 1996 AGA offered funds in order to create the National Center for Responsible Gaming, that dealt mainly with the understanding the effects gambling has on youth and therefore treating this disorder that affects the vast majority of young people. This center works together with referees, parents, mentors in order to be able to combat the bad effects gambling has on teenagers and youth of all ages.

The gaming institutions are not required to be closed but they are required to have a more responsible conduit, therefore the AGA has released its most popular responsible gaming campaign, known under eth name of “Keep it Fun” campaign. This year is held the 13th Annual Responsible Gaming Education Week and it is to be held between 2 to 6th of August. The theme if this year’s week of responsible gaming is Taking the mystery out of the slot machine. It intends to focus on the educating employees and the public as well, on how slot machines work and as well learning how they really work. There are more than a half of million electronic gaming machines in just thirty eight states. Despite of this, few employees and patrons are aware of how these games truly work.
The gaming industry is one of the biggest industries in the world and as well one that has the biggest profit as well. While one entering this industry must be very well aware of the fact that besides of having a good amount of money to put into it, one must have as well some knowledge. If one knows nothing about the gaming industry he will most likely be fooled and lose all his money. This is a large industry, hard to enter but very easy to get out of.
