Mass Effect 2 is a new 3D computer game and also a RPG (Role Playing Game) – it was developed by BioWare, and it was distributed by Electronic Arts for PC and Xbox 360. Mass Effect 2 is made by the same team, team that also developed the first game in the series.

The officials from Bioware, advised players not to delete the savings of Mass Effect, a series of decisions being taken from the first game. Those who did not play Mass Effect before will start a new character and they will know about the game events during it. Mass Effect 2 is using the Unreal Engine 3 graphics engine and as a story, it continues with Commander Shepard after his ship was destroyed and he nearly loses his life. To understand exactly how all this happened, you must play the first title in the series – Mass Effect – because it would be too many to describe them here. The most relevant fact is represented by the new adventures of the character accompanied by an extremely powerful organization that wants people, with all their colonies, not to be threatened by anything.

One of the elements which make me believe that Mass Effect 2 will become “number 1” in the top, is the gameplay and more exactly, its quality. Although we deal with a complex game with many tactical options, characters, complex dialogue and missions, everything has a unique flow. You can decide what kind of character you want to be and you will have to choose between a predilection for firearms, equipment or biotic upgrades. On these three axes is taking shape the gameplay and all the three elements are very important in the game. The mission difficulty will gradually increase and as well, the diversity of the equipment upgrades.

From a technical standpoint we are dealing with a game which was made very well and good optimized. As I said above, the great graphics are helping to create credible decors and very successful in terms of aesthetic, a very refined production. There are occasional bugs, but not that many if I have to compare it with the first game Mass Effect. The interfaces and menus are intuitive and it will take a little time for accommodation.

Altogether, we are dealing with a game that may become a “label”, and according to it we may judge other games that will appear from now on.
